In the vibrant streets of Washington, DC, where fashion pulses through the cityscape and whispers in every historical corner, my passion for apparel took root. It wasn't just about what I wore; it was about the stories those choices told. My parents raised me with the principle to not be the tail, but the head, fostering a God-fearing household that shielded me from many pitfalls. This guidance and the wisdom imparted by those around me shaped my journey.

I admired the 'fresh' looks of the neighborhood guys, inspiring me to aspire for more, but through a different path. My experiences—playing sports, participating in the DC Youth Orchestra Program (yes, I played classical percussion), and traveling to South Africa and Japan—exposed me to diverse cultures and broadened my creative horizons. These experiences ignited the spark that would become Eco Essnce.

Why Eco Essnce?

The 'Why' behind Eco Essnce is deeply intertwined with my personal journey. When I was let go from my job, it was a challenging period. Yet, creating Eco Essnce became my sanctuary, helping me to relieve stress and stay positive. Despite the dedication I poured into my career and the companies I worked for, facing disappointment was inevitable. But I believe that God is in control, and through listening to His guidance, something beautiful emerged from the hardship.

Eco Essnce allowed me to channel my thoughts and provide inspiration, love, peace, and positivity to the world. It became a platform where my creativity and values could flourish.

Graduating from North Carolina A&T State University and embarking on my professional journey, core values became the cornerstone of my determination to excel. I wanted these values to be the foundation of Eco Essnce. Each piece, from design to production, embodies these core values, blending fashion-forward aesthetics with a commitment to sustainability.
